zMAX Dragway will host a Drag & Brag Series on 12 Fridays from April to August.

zMAX Dragway officials are introducing NOS Energy Mayhem @ the MAX, which consists of bracket racing for sportsman racers, junior dragsters and street cars over a series of six Saturday events from April to August. Points will be tallied and champions in various categories will be crowned.

In addition to a full program of Legends Car and Bandolero racing, the Summer Shootout Series includes special attractions, such as school bus race nights and a huge Fireworks Extravaganza Night! Racing action takes place under the lights on the quarter-mile oval located on the speedway's front straightaway.

The 2012 Faith, Family, and Freedom Celebration concert will be held Saturday, June 23 at zMAX Dragway. The lineup includes Building 429, Mark Schultz, Big Daddy Weave, Sidewalk Prophets and Grammy Award winner Laura Story. Tickets are $5 for reserved and $15 for artist circle. Gates will open at 4 p.m. and the concert begins at 6 p.m. The concert will go on, rain or shine (but no umbrellas are allowed so make sure to pack a poncho!). Concert goers are allowed to bring in two unopened bottles of water each. Tickets can be purchased at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ticket office or at the link below.
